Top Nail Designs for Winter

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. I loved writing my previous nail design post with it having the theme around autumn. If you haven’t read it already, feel free to check it out. I talk jabout my top 6 favourite nail designs for autumn. But today I’m going to be showing you my top 6 nail designs for winter. It’s creeping closer to Christmas and I know I’ll be doing one of these designs ready for Christmas Day! But deciding which one is going to be very tricky as all of these designs are so nice!

Just like my autumn post, I wanted to include the colours I always like to use during the winter. Whenever I think of winter, my mind (like everyone else’s,) does go straight to the thought of Christmas. So I tend to use a lot of reds, golds, silvers and whites. Plus, I also love to include a hint of grey and rose gold into the mix whenever I can. These colours always seem so wintery and festive to me. Now let’s move onto the designs.

Starting with this first look. I love how all three of these colours go so nicely together. I think the tones just match winter so well and when I see these together I just think of warm winter outfits. So we have two nails which are this dusty pinky purple colour and another two nails painted in a glossy black polish. Then to add that little extra to this look, we have one shimmering golden nail. Each colour compliments the other so nicely and I just love it.

Next we have a look that just reminds me of a snowy day. The shimmering silver of snowflakes landing on a blanket of icy white snow on those crisp mornings. Here we gave four nails painted in this gorgeous white and then we have a full nail painted in a glittery silver polish plus an overlay of glitter on one of the white nails. What I love about this design is that the overlay of silver glitter does remind me of snow falling. It truly does bring those winter vibes to life.

Moving onto such a Christmassy look now. We have four gorgeous ruby red nails, one with white snowflakes on adding so much character to the look. And then finishing it off we have one sparkly white nail. This design really does bring Christmas alive. I think this look is super cute. If you’re a very creative person, I would definitely say give this design a try! It looks amazing!

Moving on we have probably the most festive looking designs out of all the nails here. So here we have our main colours which are red and white. We have four completely different designs to create in order to complete this look. Starting with the first nail, here we have a sort of candy cane design. I love how adding the four little red lanes creates the candy cane on the nail. Then we have a fully pained red nail with a white snowflake drawn on. This is the design for the really creative people. It is so perfectly done, it looks stunning! Next we have a fully white nail with what seems to be some sort of nail glitter added to it. This gives the look that extra shimmer. Then finally, we have the little red nail completed with a tiny white star in the corner. These nails look great together creating that all perfect design! With this look, I love how festive it is and how the designs really match Christmas. We have the snowflakes, the candy cane and a little white star. It is so cute and these nails would look amazing of Christmas Day!

Moving onto a more simple look now. I think this design looks super cute! First we have two nails on each hand pained in a ruby red polish. Then we move onto a nude nail which has a spot of gold dotted on the bottom giving it that little bit of an extra feel to it. The finally, we finish the look with a fully painted shimmering golden look. I love how well these colours go together and they really shout out Christmas. They look beautiful together!

The final look I’m going to show you today is this beautiful design. We have a mixture of pink, nude and white to create this look. So we have a nude nail painted with white spots making a cute little pattern. Then we have a white, pink and nude striped nail which gives off really cute winter vibes before finally finishing the look with a fully painted white and nude polish on the last nails. I think this look is super cute. I love how the extra two patterns pull this look together and make it so much more. It is lovely!

And those are my top nail designs for winter. I hope you enjoyed reading along. Which is your favourite look out of all of these? Let me know in the comments below. I really like the really Christmassy themed nails and the black, dusty pink/purple and gold nails. I’m definitely going to be doing my nails in these styles soon.
