Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing great today. How has your week been? So today is April 11th which means tomorrow is finally the 12th meaning that England goes into step 2 of the lockdown roadmap. If you don’t know already, England have a new step by step roadmap in place to ease lockdown. As of tomorrow, we will be moving into step 2 where we see non-essential retail open (so hairdressers, nail salons and clothing shops,) then gyms and swimming pools can open, zoos can open and then pubs and restaurants can open to serve outside only. But this still is a huge thing! I can’t believe we’re at this stage now. With things starting to reopen again, lots of people have been planning on outfits that they’re going to wear which they never got to wear last year. Online clothing brands have even set up little pages on their websites titled “Lockdown Lifting” for this occasion. So I thought it would be fun to write a post about it. So here are some of my April 12th outfits. I hope you enjoy!
So my first outfit of choice is the outfit I wore on Easter Sunday. If you read last weeks post where I shared all of the lovely presents I had for Easter, you will know that I had lots of clothes from Pretty Little Thing which my Mum got me including these high waisted blue skinny jeans and this black cropped jacket. I styled it with my pink crop top which is also from Pretty Little Thing to create this super cute and spring look. I am obsessed with it and will 100% be wearing it out when I get the chance. It will be perfect to wear when I can go into town.
Next we have one of my favourite outfits to wear. I really love the colours to this look and I feel like it is a very “going out” look. I will definitely be wearing this to college when we go back after the Easter holidays. I really like how even those the burgundy top is long sleeved, it doesn’t make you too hot when you wear it. So with the warmer weather coming, I can still wear this outfit out. And with everything like food places being open for outside seating only, I know I will be warm enough wearing this beautiful outfit.
Next we have one of my favourite Summer looks. I love how well the burgundy crop top going with the black high waisted shorts and the cropped camo jacket. I always wear this as it is one of my favourites by far! This outfit I am planning on wearing when a small group of my friends are able to go back to Clip and Climb in Nottingham. It is one of my favourite places to go to and I have definitely missed going there all the time during Lockdown. It will be great to be able to go back again soon.
This white bralet from Pretty Little Thing is another clothing piece I had for Easter. I really like it and will definitely be wearing it in the Summer. I decided to get it for those hotter days out. I think it will look great with my River Island high waisted black shorts and my white sandals. I also thought this bralet would go perfectly with my Saffron Barker X In The Style black skort as the colours and the style would go really well together. So that is another outfit I will be wearing out.
Next we have this new outfit of mine. So we have a black Pretty Little Thing bralet (the same type as the white one before,) paired with my black high waisted skinny jeans from Primark and my cropped camo jacket from NewLook. This outfit is so cute to wear out. I actually wear my spotty mesh crop top over the top of the black bralet to give this look that little bit extra and I love it. It will be perfect to wear out of lockdown.
Then my final April 12th outfit today is this very cute Summery one. I love wearing playsuits. I have so many in my wardrobe but this is the latest one to catch my eye. I love the little black spots all over the white playsuit. It is so cute and it is very different to all my current ones. To go with this, I have styled the playsuit with a black denim jacket and a pair of white sandals. It looks like a very “beachy” outfit which I think is super cute!
And those are my planned outfits for lockdown starting to ease. I hope you all enjoy! What are you looking forward to as of tomorrow? I am looking forward to being able to go to places like Climb and Clip in Nottingham and being able to get some food in town again. After this year, I think we all will have learnt something. And as long as everyone is safe and happy, I am happy. This year has been hard for everyone, with things starting to open again and the restrictions start to ease, we shouldn’t take it for granted. We don’t want to go back into lockdown again or people to get sick.
